Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide After Crash In Adamstown

ADAMSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- An alleged drunken driver has been charged with vehicular homicide after a crash that killed one of his four passengers in Adamstown.

Frederick County sheriff's deputies say the crash occurred on Friday evening. Deputies say 20-year-old Cole Hallyburton was driving a pickup truck when he ran a stop sign and collided with a sedan.

The truck rolled over several times, and two of the passengers were ejected. Twenty-year-old Luke Bartlett was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. A total of seven people in both vehicles were injured.

Hallyburton has been charged with homicide by motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol, among other charges.

He's been released on bond. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
