Man Charged In Robbery Of Pizza Delivery Driver

CROFTON, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police have arrested a man they say robbed a pizza delivery driver in Crofton.

It happened about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on Sharwood Place. Officers say a delivery driver for Mr. Pizza parked to make a delivery and put a bottle of soda on the roof of his car.

Police say when the driver tried to get back into his car to get other items, a man was standing behind him holding the bottle over his head as if to hit him. Authorities say the suspect took a bag of money from the driver and ran away.

Officers say during the investigation they identified a suspect. Twenty-year-old Aaron Michael Navarro of Crofton was arrested and charged with robbery, assault and theft.
