Man Charged In Deadly Stabbing Of Teen Near Dundalk Bus Stop

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 35-year-old man has been charged in the deadly Sept. 1 stabbing of a teenager on Eastern Avenue in Dundalk.

Police say Wayne Edward Zeigler, Jr., has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Just after 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1, police were called to the 7800 block of Eastern Avenue.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found 18-year-old Gerrod Dominick Greenwood of the 400 block of 52nd Street and another man near a bus stop suffering from stab wounds to the upper body.

Both men were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

Greenwood died at the hospital.

Investigators believe a fight between two groups near the bus stop led to the stabbing.

The incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit.
