Man Arrested For Possession Of Firearms And Marijuana In Laurel

LAUREL, Md. (WJZ) -- Police arrest a Laurel man in response to complaints regarding narcotic activity in the area.
Officers first noticed Charles Blackwell Thursday in the 2100 block of Crimea Road. Authorities say Blackwell, who is known to police, was displaying suspicious activity.
The officers stopped Blackwell and found him to be in possession of a loaded .38 caliber revolver, Suboxone Film Strips and suspected marijuana. All illegal items were recovered and Blackwell was arrested.
Blackwell has been charged with firearms and narcotic violations. He is being held at Central Booking.
