Man Arrested For Breaking Front Glass Of Pizza Shop In Robbery Attempt

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ)— Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a Pasadena man for burglarizing a pizza shop.

Police were called to Giuseppe's Pizza located at 8010 Hog Neck Road in Pasadena around 5:17 a.m. on Sunday. Officers noticed a broken front glass door, but no one was inside the store.

Surveillance video later revealed a suspect breaking out the front glass door with a baseball bat and entering the business, but wasn't able to steal any property.

Employees recognized the suspect, who was later tracked down by police at his nearby home.

Joseph McNeil-Moretti, 27, admitted to police that he broke out the front glass door and entered the business. Once inside he wasn't able to steal any property and fled the scene on foot to his vehicle that was parked nearby.

McNeil-Moretti was arrested and charged with burglary, destruction of property and other related charges.
