Man Arrested Following Attack On Pregnant Nurse

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)—Authorities have arrested a Baltimore man accused of attacking a pregnant woman in a Guilford neighborhood.

According to police, back on January 24th just before 7 p.m., the nurse with Union Memorial Hospital, was walking down Greenmount Avenue before turning on the 400 block Bretton Place to make her way towards the hospital.

That's when she told police someone punched her three or four times in the back of the head, causing her fall to her knees.

Authorities say the nurse who was six months pregnant, was left with a welt over her eye after suffering multiple punches from the suspect.

Baltimore police say the suspect stole the woman's iPhone as well as her debit card. The debit card was later found by a neighbor.

On Monday, 20-year-old Michael Williams was arrested and is facing many charges including robbery, first and second degree assault.

Police say a second person was used as a lookout during the robbery, they are still wanted at this time.
