Man Arrested Approaching Plane On Tarmac

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says a New York man was arrested as he approached a commercial flight unloading passengers at Salisbury-Ocean City-Wicomico Regional Airport.

Deputies say Darnel Richards, 30, of Brooklyn had created a disturbance at the airport Sunday night while trying to get to New York. Authorities say Richards did not have any money and was ordered to leave the airport.

According to WBOC-TV, police say Richards went back to the airport, walked through the passenger gate and onto the tarmac.

He was arrested and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.
