Man Accused of Groping University of Maryland Student

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — A District of Columbia man has been accused of groping a female student on the University of Maryland campus.

University police say 34-year-old Amin Massey was taken into custody on sex offense, assault and concealing a box cutter charges after officers received a report Monday morning of the incident at the Stamp Student Union.

Police spokeswoman Sgt. Roseanne Hoaas says Massey was identified as a suspect and campus security officers were able to find him on surveillance camera near Cole Field House, the student activities building, where he was arrested.

Hoaas also says the suspect, who is not affiliated with the school, was found with a box cutter in his pocket.

It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
