Maintenance Man Gets 30 Years For Killing Property Manager

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A maintenance man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for fatally stabbing a property manager in Reisterstown.

Twenty-nine-year-old Rashaan Williams of Woodlawn was sentenced Tuesday in Baltimore County Circuit Court. He had been convicted of second-degree murder in the slaying of 29-year-old Melinda Schaefer of Dundalk.

Prosecutors say Schaefer was found dead in her office at the Townes at Harvestview in June 2013.

Authorities say Williams worked as a maintenance man at the complex and lived there when the slaying occurred.
