Lusby Man Arrested for Sexually Soliciting a "Minor"

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)-- Maryland State Police arrested and charged a 24-year-old man with sexual solicitation related felony charges Thursday.

Jesse Alexander Burton-Franklin of Lusby has been charged with sexual solicitation of a law enforcement officer posing as a minor.

On August 7, State Police conducted an operation involving Burton-Franklin where an officer, posing as a minor, communicated with the suspect. Burton-Franklin made statements expressing a desire to meet the minor and engage in sexual activity.

On Thursday, the suspect traveled to an undisclosed location in Calvert County for the encounter. Burton-Franklin was arrested shortly after 3:30 p.m. and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.

Burton-Franklin could face up to ten years in jail.
