Lottery: Md. Woman Likely Winner Of $1M Ticket

WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. Lottery officials say a Prince George's County woman is the likely winner of a $1 million Mega Millions prize.

Lottery spokeswoman Agnes Moss says the Capital Heights woman came forward Friday and is set to accept the $1 million prize after it's confirmed she's the winner on Wednesday.

Moss says the woman read the numbers on her Sept. 9 lottery ticket over the phone, and that they match the winning numbers that day. Moss declined to release the woman's identity.

Moss says the winning ticket from the Sept. 9 drawing was sold at Palisades Deli & Market in the District's Northwest.

The winning numbers were 25-34-55-70-71, and the Mega Ball number was 1. The winning ticket matched every number except the Mega Ball.
