Lothian Man Charged After Firing Shotgun In Dispute With Neighbor

LOTHIAN, Md. (WJZ)—A man is arrested after firing a shotgun during an argument with his neighbor.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Mt. Zion Marlboro Road in Lothian around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the adult male victim, who reported that he was in a verbal dispute with his neighbor—52-year-old Carlton Ervin Carter.

During the argument, the victim says Carter went into his home and returned with a shotgun, and then fired the weapon two times in the direction of the victim.

Officers located and arrested Carter, who is charged with first and second degree assault as well as reckless endangerment.
