Leaders Hold Maryland Remembers Event On Impaired Driving, Urging People Not To Drink And Drive

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Gov. Larry Hogan and other state leaders held a remembrance ceremony Monday for all those who lost their lives to impaired driving.

The ceremony was a hybrid event, with family members and officers joining virtually.

Last year, more than 1,800 people were arrested between Thanksgiving and New Years for impaired driving.

The ceremony is held at the beginning of the holiday season every year to encourage people not to drink and drive.
