78-Year-Old Woman Accidentally Shot And Killed At Lansdowne Shopping Center, Police Say

LANSDOWNE, Md. (WJZ) — Baltimore County Police have confirmed one person has died in a shooting at Landsdowne Shopping Center.

Police were dispatched at 4:25 p.m. They said an adult female was shot and killed when a suspect fired at another male subject in the parking lot. The victim was later identified as 78-year-old Isabel Villalobos V De Vasquez.

Investigators said they don't believe she was involved in the incident and was hit inadvertently.

The suspect and at least one other person fled in opposite directions, according to police.

Police were searching the area for suspects. The investigation is ongoing.

The shopping center is in the 3900 block of Hollins Ferry Road.
