Kerry Miller Breaks Down Final Four Matchups

College Basketball Analyst Kerry Miller with Bleacher Report joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to help preview this weekends Final Four matchup's.

The first of the two games played on Saturday will be Oklahoma vs. Villanova at 6 o'clock. Scott Garceau asked Kerry what he expects to see in that matchup, "I expect a ton of three point attempts because that's what both of these teams do. Oklahoma is considerably better at it than Villanova is but I think Villanova has some certain advantages: rebounding in the paint with Ochefu and I think Villanova is a little bit deeper." Scott later asked Kerry how he thinks Villanova will guard one of the best College players in 2016; Buddy Hield, "I think (Mikal) Bridges is the guy. He's a 6'7" wing who's not much of a scorer. He's really in there for defense and I think he's one of 15 players in the country to have a 3% steal and block percentage this season. He doesn't play a ton but when he does play he plays with a lot of tenacity."

The late game on Saturday pits UNC vs. Syracuse at around 9 o'clock. Jeremy Conn talked about how these teams matchup with UNC having the tendency to run and gun versus Syracuse's zone defense and he asked Kerry how he thinks UNC will attack the zone. "What's weird is everybody thinks that the way to beat the zone is with the three. It's the lazy way to attack the zone. What you have to do is get into the elbows. What we saw in the first game between North Carolina and Syracuse; they just destroyed them with that. (Joel) Berry was getting it to (Brice) Johnson right at the free throw line and he was just turning around and giving it right to (Isaiah) Hicks for buckets. So if they're able to keep doing that; that's how you explode this 2-3 zone and they've proven they can do it."
