Ken Singleton On The Orioles Vs Yankees Matchup

The Orioles are just one game away from being back in first place after the win over the Red Sox.

After a record-high seven home runs last night, the Orioles seem to have found their magic again and the struggling New York Yankees are coming to town.

What can we expect from this weekend match up? Orioles Hall of Famer and sportscaster Ken Singleton joined Norris and Davis to preview the series.

Well, Ken Singleton pointed out that this Yankees team is the team that scored the second most runs in baseball last year but this year, they've only outscored the Twins (which is saying a lot).

The Orioles had twenty-five runs in just two games this past week with Adam Jones in the lead off hitter position. So does it seem like a good idea to keep him there? Singleton said, "Maybe it takes pressure off of Jones to drive in runs as opposed to getting on base if he can. I know he swings at a lot of pitches, and he's not going to walk much, but over the years there's been a lot of unconventional lead off hitters."
