Keith Cavanaugh Talks Terps Basketball And Football

Baltimore (WJZ) -- Keith Cavanaugh joined the Norris and Davis Show to talk about Maryland Terps basketball and recruitment accomplishments of Terps football.

Cavanaugh commented on Juan Dixon's role as special assistant coming to an end: "His three-year term as a special assistant came to an end. But he was very stifled and stale in that role. He can't coach on the floor. He can't coach on the bench. He can't go on the road recruiting which is all the staples of becoming a true coach as a special assistant. The job had certain restrictions and there's only so much you could do."

Keith Cavanaugh also spoke about the success Maryland has had recruiting: "Maryland got its sixth 4-star commitment Deon Jones who is the number 7th ranked corner in the country. The Terps have the 17th ranked class in the country with 11 commits and that's 4th in the Big Ten."
