Keith Cavanaugh Talking Terps Basketball On Sports Rehab

Keith Cavanaugh of the Terrapin Times joined Sports rehab to preview Maryland basketball's upcoming game against Michigan and to discuss news with the football program.

The Maryland Terrapin men's basketball team is ranked third in this weeks Associated Press poll and have started 3-0 in conference play for the first time since the national championship season of 2001-02. The Terps pulled off a gutty 63-60 road win over Wisconsin on Saturday after sophomore guard Melo Trimble burried a three pointer in the final seconds to break a 60-60 tie and avoid overtime.

Trimble finished with 21 points and 5 assists while forward Robert Carter Jr registered a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman center Diamond Stone, who was playing his first game in his home state since spurning Badger Nation to come to College Park, finished with 11 points and 4 rebounds. When asked about Trimble's play thus far, Cavanaugh replied "Melo just has it going on. His confidence on the pick and roll is just really high right now."
