Keith Booth On Coaching At Loyola And The Performance Of His Alma Mater Maryland

Keith Booth is a former Terp who is currently a member of the Loyola Greyhounds coaching staff.

Keith joined Ed and Steve to talk about all things college basketball.

Steve asked Keith about San Antonio Spurs head coach Greg Popovich's comments on the 3 point line in basketball. Keith acknowledged that Popovich has an old school mentality when it comes to the game, "Pop is old school. He has the right to say certain things and he has a meaning behind it. You have to respect what he says because of all the success he has had."

Ed asked Keith about the start to the season for his Loyola Grey Hounds. Keith noted that the early season schedule is important to help prepare for conference games, "its all about getting ready for Patriot League play. We're better than our 1-8 record says we are. For us, it is a matter of using these games to prepare for conference games."

Keith went on to discuss the play of Melo Trimble and the Maryland Terrapins to start the season, his thoughts on whether the Golden State Warriors can eclipse the Chicago Bulls single season wins record of 72, and what it was like to play with Michael Jordan.
