Two minors allegedly involved in Essex shooting arrested, police say

BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore County Police Department has arrested two minors in connection to a shooting in Essex. 

The shooting happened in the 900 block of South Marlyn Avenue around 8:10 p.m. Friday night, police said.

After arriving at the scene, medics transported two minors suffering from gunshot wounds to a local hospital for treatment. 

Investigators determined this was an isolated incident that started from a verbal disagreement in front of Sandalwood Elementary School, according to police.

Both minors injured during the shooting have been charged as adults for attempted murder and use of a firearm in a felony crime of violence. They are being held without bond, police said.
