Police Arrest Suspect Accused Of Firing Gun At Occupied Car In Westminster

TANEYTOWN, Md. (WJZ) -- Members of the Carroll County Sheriff's Office, along with Westminster Police, arrested a suspect wanted for opening fire on a car.

Justin Carter, 34, was arrested Thursday in Taneytown without incident and charged with assault and handgun crimes.

Last Saturday, police say he opened fire on an occupied car at the intersection of Church Street and Charles Street in Westminster.

No one was hurt in the shooting.

Police suspect the shooting was drug-related.
