Jury Finds Md. Man Guilty In Shooting Outside D.C. Club

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Prince George's County man has been found guilty of assault with intent to kill in a shooting outside a District of Columbia nightclub last year.

A D.C. Superior Court jury found 30-year-old Jonathan Blades of Suitland guilty of that charge and several other assault and weapons charges on Friday. His sentencing is set for March 20.

Prosecutors say Blades got into a fight with a man who had been talking to his fiancee around 3 a.m. on Feb. 2 last year. Prosecutors say Blades then grabbed a gun from his car and shot at the man nine times as he tried to run away. The man was hit in his back and shoulder, but survived the shooting.
