Md. Teen Found Guilty Of Raping Fellow Student In High School Hallway

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- A jury found an 18-year-old Maryland man guilty of raping a fellow student in a school hallway in May.

The Wicomico County jury began deliberations Tuesday following a two-day trial in the rape case against Jacori Scarborough of Delmar. Scarborough pleaded not guilty to rape, assault, false imprisonment and other charges.

According to WBOC-TV, the teen was found guilty Tuesday of five charges including second-degree rape, second-degree assault and false imprisonment.

The Daily Times reports that a 15-year-old girl testified Monday that Scarborough told her she was going to have his baby as he assaulted her at Parkside High School in Salisbury on May 5.

The girl says she told Scarborough she wouldn't have sex with him but had agreed to walk with him to class. Under questioning by the defense, the girl said she and Scarborough had kissed.

Scarborough decided not to testify.
