Judge Sentences 2 Md. Men to 50 Years for Motel Slaying

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- A judge has sentenced two men to 50 years in prison for the 2014 shooting death of a man at a Parkville motel.

A Baltimore County Circuit Court jury convicted 27-year-old Mark Eugene Garland and 31-year-old Peretz Anderson of first-degree murder, armed robbery and a handgun violation in the death of 28-year-old Aaron Philip Nedd. County police said Garland and Anderson had gone to a motel to buy marijuana from Nedd, and a fight ensued.

The state's attorney's office says Judge Kathleen Cox sentenced Garland and Anderson on Friday.
