Jones Leads No. 15 Maryland Over Towson 81-52

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Brionna Jones had 17 points and eight rebounds on Sunday and No. 15 Maryland cruised past Towson 81-52.

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough added 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting for the Terrapins (7-2), who had 19 offensive rebounds and a 48-32 edge on the glass overall. Tierney Pfirman added 12 points and Kristen Confroy had 10.

Maryland pulled away in the first half with a 22-2 run for a 29-12 lead on Malina Howard's free throws with 6:36 left. The Terrapins led 40-20 at halftime, scored the first nine of the second half and played even with the Tigers (3-6) from there.

LaTorri Hines-Allen led Towson with 21 points and eight rebounds. The Tigers were 3 of 18 from 3-point range and only 33.3 percent from the field.

Maryland leads Towson in the all-time series 15-5.
