Jon 'Bones' Jones and Glover Teixeira Meet In THE FAN Studios!!
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon 'Bones' Jones will fight Glover Teixeira in UFC 172 April 26 at Baltimore Arena. Tickets go on sale FRIDAY, February 7.
The two were scheduled to separately join Vinny & Rob at the 105-7 THE FAN studios at distinctly different times 30 minutes apart. However, due to poor weather, one was late & one was early. As always, the rules go out the window with Vinny & Rob. (Luckily there was no trouble because no one here could have broken it up haha). Both Bones & Glover gave predictions on the fight and discussed how they are training for each other.
Jones (19-1) is coming off a tough title defense against Alexander Gustafsson. 'I knew that the fight had the potential to be a war. But, I thought I'd go out there and dominate. It was far from domination. People consider it one of the greatest fights in MMA history and I'm just really grateful to be a part of it.'
Teixeira (22-2) earned a TKO of Ryan Bader in his last fight, 'I train at everything but I love boxing. Boxing is my first passion. I watched Mike Tyson as a kid and learning boxing was my favorite thing to do.'
The next time these two gentlemen meet will be at the weigh-ins. The undercard of UFC 172 features: Phil Davis v. Anthony Johnson, Jake Ellenberger v. Tarec Saffiedine, Joseph Benavidez v.
