John Rollo Of Shogun Fights Reviews The Upsets At UFC 196

John Rollo is the promoter of Shogun Fights, and the local authority on all things MMA.

John joined Ed and Steve to talk about UFC 196 and the upsets by Miesha Tate and Nate Diaz.

When asked about if he expected either of the outcomes from UFC 196 John said "I thought the Miesha fight was going to be very tough for Holly...Miesha provided a bigger challenge than Ronda Rousey, Rousey is more one dimensional." John also talked about Holly Holm's fighting strategy and whether or not she made a mistake in the 5th round by not staying away and retaining her title.

As for whether or not McGregor moving up in weight classes was the main reason for the upset John said "I think it was a small part of it, Nate doesn't fight at that weight either...Nate's chin was the difference." When talking about what McGregor means to the sport of MMA John said "Conor is great for the sport, an exciting guy to watch and a great talker...other than Jose Aldo he really doesn't have a win over a top contender and top fighter."

John also talked about what is next for Conor McGregor and how it will show what he is made of as a fighter.
