Jon Heyman On The State Of The Orioles
Jon Heyman of CBS Sports and the MLB Network joined Scott and Jeremy to discuss the Orioles adding starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez. "I think it was the right thing for them to do. I do think that they have a small window a nice window of two years with Davis and Wieters on the team. And I think we all know its not likely for them to extend both of them. As long as they have those two guys plus Machado and Adam Jones, they have a good chance to win, they shouldn't waste that opportunity."
Jon went on to say he doesn't believe that the Orioles will be able to retain Matt Wieters or Chris Davis. "Once you get a year from free agency, it becomes very difficult to sign a very good player."
