Joe Flacco Is The Only Starting QB Expected To Miss OTAs

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Ravens will begin their organized team activities this week. However, their workouts will be a little bit different from the other NFL teams.

The Ravens are the only team that is expected to be without the starting quarterback for all of the OTAs. For the first time in nine years, starting quarterback Joe Flacco won't be on the field for the offseason workouts. Flacco is still recovering from his season-ending knee surgery.

Ryan Mallett, who took over in the final games of the 2015 season, will be in charge of the snaps next week.

Will Flacco be able to build chemistry with some of the new additions like Benjamin Watson and Mike Wallace before the start of the season? We hope so.

The veteran quarterback is expected to be back for the start of training camp.
