Jim Nabors, Best Known For Gomer Pyle Character, Dead At 87

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The actor best known for his role as Gomer Pyle on "The Andy Griffith Show," and later for playing the same character on "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.," has died.

Jim Nabors, who also had singing talents, later had his own CBS variety show.
