Jim Duquette On Chris Davis' Funk And Orioles Potential In Playoff Race

Jim Duquette a baseball analyst and former General Manager of the Baltimore Orioles joined Norris and Long to recap the Orioles playoff push.

Chris Davis was ejected from the game lats night after he was called out on strikes three times. The frustration boiled over when he was rung up on a 1-2 pitch in the seventh. He argued and was ejected by home plate umpire Will Little, who a few moments later also tossed Orioles manager Buck Showalter for his first ejection of the season and 30th of his career.

Duquette said this about Davis' funk, "It told me the mindset of the kind of funk he's in right now. But for him to be in that ballpark that he usually rakes, that's my overall concern."

The Orioles aren't out of it yet and are on the hunt for a wild card spot. Duquette says the lock in for the top wild card spot is the Toronto Blue Jays but believes the Baltimore Orioles "still have the best chance and a game lead."
