Jerry Coleman Checks In From Owings Mills

105.7 The Fan's Jerry Coleman joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Femi to discuss the Ravens and Steelers game last night as well as the conference with John Harbaugh. Coach Harbaugh held his conference today after the blowout loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday.  Coleman says that Harbaugh discussed the specific penalty and what everyone has talked about today regarding Terrell Suggs.  He said Harbaugh "feels Suggs is a great player and not a dirty player."  Many watching the game last night felt that Suggs late tackle was a dirty play and he was trying to hurt LeGarrette Blount by tackling him at the knees.

Cornerback Jimmy Smith is an important part of Ravens defense and Femi inquired if they discussed when he will be coming back.  "No time table given by the coach."  He goes on to say regarding Harbaugh and the secondary, "he said the secondary is not doing well.  They just aren't doing good with their technique.  Nobody is showing they are capable."  The position wide open is Safety and no one is doing a good enough job to take it over.

There wasn't much depth in that secondary.  "The Steelers had a field day with the secondary," Coleman says.  Wide receiver Antonio Brown for the Steelers was a major factor last night.  "He was targeted 16 times last night."  Roethlisberger feels that anytime Brown receives the ball, more times than not, he will score a touchdown.

Joe Flacco had some issues last night.  "The blitz got to him. He didn't get to the hot receivers.  Joe missed a couple wide receivers and Joe didn't handle the pressure well."  After a couple tough hits, Joe seemed to be extremely intimidated.  He seemed by the end of the game to have had enough and just spiked the ball.

The only positives of the game last night were "No major injuries, and 30 plus snaps."   "The penalties were a big negative," and Harbaugh says they were undisciplined last night and "he isn't happy about anything that will cost them 15 yards."
