Jeremy Conn: Orioles Finally See 'Good Ubaldo'

Last night the Orioles got exactly what they needed. We finally saw Good Ubaldo. We know he is capable of pitching like he did last night, we just don't see it that often.

Ubaldo almost went eight innings while only giving up two hits. He did walk four and struck out three, but this game comes one day after Kevin Gausman couldn't get out of the third inning.

I'm not going to sit here and insult your intelligence and tell you Ubaldo is a great pitcher. I do believe he is better than anything that we have in the Minor Leagues right now. He is a guy that can give you over 150 innings a year and that is important. They are going to need that with two young guys in the five-man rotation and the uncertainty of Chris Tillman.
