Jeremy Conn: Orioles Downward Spiral

The Orioles have lost 4 in a row now and it seems like they are finding ways to lose. When they hit, they cant pitch. When they pitch, they cant hit. The Bullpen has had its own problems when we need them most. In last nights game, the Orioles scored 4 runs in the second and looked like they were well on their way to ending their losing streak. They ended up giving up 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd. Colin McHugh settled down and eventually got the win for the Astros. The Orioles didn't have a base runner for the next 5 innings.

Tonight the O's have Miguel Gonzales going for them against the Astros young pitcher Lance McCullers. Tomorrow the Orioles will see one of the best pitchers in the American League in an afternoon game. Dallas Keuchel is a tough pitcher to get to, but he will be even more difficult to hit in a day game. Yesterday's loss hurts a lot more when you realize that everyone in the AL East won when the Orioles lost.
