JCPenney Starts Closing Sale At 137 Shops, 3 In Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — JCPenney is starting the shutdown process for several of its stores.

There are 137 stores closing, including three in Maryland.

• Boulevard at Box Hill in Abingdon
• Woodmore Towne Center in Lanham
• Country Club Mall in La Vale

Officials said they plan to pay more attention to its stores with the strongest sales.

All purchases are final as of June 25.
