Jason Beck On The Orioles Vs Tigers Series
Tigers beat reporter on MLB.com, Jason Beck, joined Norris and Davis to preview the pitching and hitting matchups we can expect in the four game series for the Orioles and the Tigers.
Ex-Tiger Max Scherzer had a 20-strikeout performance last night and it was "unreal" to see the quality strikes throughout the game.
"The rotation has been inconsistent, to poor," said Beck. The Tigers had had an idea to maybe "re-tool" and spend money on new guys, but the players they chose like Zimmerman and Upton are a bit older. Beck comments, "I think the clock is ticking on these guys, but they're getting good performances from some of their older guys, it's been some younger guys, ironically, that have given them a little trouble."
