Ivey Raises More Than $275K In Latest Fundraising Report

HYATTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Former Prince George's County State's Attorney Glenn Ivey is reporting he has raised more than $275,000 in the second quarter in his congressional bid.

Ivey announced Monday he raised the money from 652 contributors for the fundraising period ending June 30.

His campaign announced it expects to report about $320,000 cash on hand.

Ivey is seeking the Democratic nomination for Rep. Donna Edwards' seat. Edwards is running for the seat now held by retiring Sen. Barbara Mikulski.

Ivey is running against former Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Delegates Dereck Davis and Joseline Pena-Melnyk. Ingrid Turner, who is a member of the Prince George's County Council, also is running for the nomination, as well as Warren Christopher.

The other candidates have not yet made their fundraising numbers public.
