It's Payback Time Ravens' Smith Against Panthers

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- When he was cut by the Carolina Panthers in March, Steve Smith cried.

This Sunday, the 35-year-old wide receiver expects to have the last laugh.

Now a member of the Baltimore Ravens, Smith has proven he's still got the talent to be a No. 1 receiver. He leads the Ravens with 18 catches and 290 yards receiving, and has also been a leader in the locker room.

Smith thought he would be with the Panthers for his entire career before they released him after a 13-year run. He's looking forward to showing Carolina a thing or two when the Ravens face the visiting Panthers.

He says, "My enthusiasm will be out of this world, but it will also be fun to play against guys that I know their tendencies."
