IRS Commissioner, Others To Highlight Tax Services

BALTIMORE (AP) -- IRS Commissioner John Koskinen and other officials are highlighting a program that helps low-income families with their tax returns.

They'll talk about free tax preparation sites in Baltimore at a news conference Friday morning.

The service is provided to families who make less than $52,000 a year and is meant to ensure they benefit from the Earned Income Tax Credit and don't have to pay tax preparers.

Congressmen Elijah Cummings and John Sarbanes and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake are among those scheduled to attend.
