IronBirds Honor Late John Carroll Student Athlete Josh Hamer

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- An emotional tribute was held at Ripken Stadium Friday night, before John Carroll and Gilman played ball at Leidos Field.

They wore the jersey of Josh Hamer, the John Carroll Student who was killed in a car accident last month.

The IronBirds also presented a personalized IronBirds jersey to Josh's parents, and his family presented their son's baseball jersey to the IronBirds, which will hang at the stadium throughout the 2017 season.

After the season, the jersey will be relocated to the Club Level at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium, where it will remain in perpetuity.
