Inmate Captured After Escaping Baltimore Correctional Facility

BALTIMORE (AP/WJZ) -- Authorities found an inmate they say escaped from a minimum-security correctional facility in Baltimore Monday night

The inmate, 34-year-old Kenneth Sullivan , was taken into custody at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore. Sullivan was being treated for a broken leg he sustained during his escape. He has been transferred to the Shock Trauma Center of the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.

The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services announced Tuesday Sullivan was missing at the 10 p.m. count at the Metropolitan Transition Center on Monday.

Department spokesman Gerard Shields says he doesn't have details on how Sullivan escaped. He says Sullivan had six months left on his nine-year sentence for robbery. He is a registered sex offender.

Sullivan is described as a white man with green eyes, a bald head and a beard. He has a tattoo on the left side of his neck. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. His last known address was in Middle River.
