After Icy Start, Flooding Becomes A Concern

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — After an icy start to Tuesday, flooding is becoming a concer as heavy rains rush through the region and warmer temps melt the snow.

The Baltimore area saw about three inches of snow; it then transitioned to an icy mix.

With temps in the 50s on Tuesday, heavy rain and melting snow could cause some flooding.

Some watches and warnings remain in effect:

Area Flood Warning : Anne Arundel , Northern Baltimore , Prince Georges , Southern Baltimore

Coastal Flood Advisory, Area Flood Watch : Anne Arundel , Southern Baltimore

Area Flood Watch : Calvert , Carroll , Charles , Northern Baltimore , Prince Georges , St. Marys , Washington

Area Flood Watch : Frederick

Winter Weather Advisory : Garrett

Winter Storm Warning : Central and Eastern Allegany , Extreme Western Allegany , Washington
