Police Identify Woman Killed In New Year's Day Shooting As Filomena Vasquez

LANDOVER HILLS, Md. (WJZ) -- Police in Prince George's County are investigating a fatal shooting on New Year's Day in an unincorporated part of Hyattsville.
Police were called to the 7400 block of Varnum Street in Landover Hills at 11:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Filomena Vasquez, inside of her home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police believe that all shots were fired into the home from outside.
Police announced the arrest of 23-year-old Sammie Warren in Vasquez's death on Jan. 6.
