BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Engaging in conversations about race. Hundreds gathered from around the world here in Baltimore for the annual Courageous Conversations Summit.

It happened Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Renaissance Hotel at the Inner Harbor.

The event is hosted by the Pacific Education Group, which brings equality leaders from across the country together to discuss racism and its impact on the community.

The group's founder and CEO is from Baltimore.

"We haven't yet arrived at a place in the United States where we get the full impact of race and how that affects not only our daily lives, but affects the outcomes of our children," said Glenn Singleton, CEO and founder of Pacific Education Group.

This year's summit at the Inner Harbor marked the seventh year of the event.
