House Searched In Connection With Lyon Sisters' Disappearance

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- There's a new development in the decades-old disappearance of the Lyon sisters.

A home in Severn belonging to a member of the Welch family was searched by police.

Richard Welch is a person of interest in the 1975 disappearance of 12-year-old Sheila Lyon and 10-year-old Katherine Lyon. Police say officers searched and seized items from a mobile home on Telegraph Road. It's owned by Amy Welch, the daughter of Richard Welch's wife, Patricia.

Lloyd Welch, a twice convicted child sex offender, was recently indicted on murder charges in connection to the Lyon sisters.
