Horse Goes Missing Near Patapsco State Park

MARRIOTTSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- A 10-year-old horse named Play Doh has gone missing near the Patapsco State Park.

The 10-year-old Paso Fino horse, who took a fall while on a ride Friday, hasn't been seen since.

Play Doh's owner, Susan Crawford, says part of the trail gave way while they were riding, knocking her and the horse to the ground.

"So he slipped down and I slid off of him. He got spooked and ran off," said Crawford.

Crawford says he went running up the hill close to the Marriottsville Road parking area.

For days the search has been in full effect, including fellow riders, helicopters and drones.

"They are very good at finding their way home and that's one of the things that's really surprising, that he hasn't found his way back here," says Crawford. "He does have his tack on, that's his bridle and his saddle. That's a concern for me because that could get hung-up so he could be stuck someplace."

Play Doh has a microchip implanted in him that identifies who he is and his owner, but that microchip does not have GPS capabilities.

Crawford is offering a reward for Play Doh's safe return.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Susan at (443) 831-6527
