Holy Cross Knocks Off Navy 74-57

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) -- Dave Dudzinski scored 22 points and gathered 10 rebounds to lead Holy Cross over Navy 74-57 on Sunday.

Holy Cross (17-11, 11-5 Patriot) used a 9-0 run -- including a 3-pointer by Dudzinski -- to open up a 20-point first half lead, and led 34-19 at the break.

Navy (9-18, 4-12) trimmed its deficit to 10 at 62-52 with 5:45 left after a pair of free throws by Kevin Alter, but Holy Cross responded with an 8-0 run and coasted from there to the win.

Anthony Thompson had 17 points for the Crusaders while Eric Green added 14. Holy Cross was 25 of 31 from the line and out-rebounded the Midshipmen 45-24.

Thurgood Wynn led Navy with 14 points on 5 of 7 shooting and Worth Smith had 12 points and eight boards.
