High Winds, Dry Air Cause Brush Fires In AACO

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)--High winds and dry air caused several brush fires to break out around Maryland today.

In Anne Arundel County, Sky Eye Chopper 13 shows strong winds fanning intense flames at this landfill.

Heavy Smoke could be seen for miles  and firefighters worked for hours to extinguish the blaze.

Due to the dry conditions, the National Weather Service is urging Marylanders to exercise caution when discarding cigarettes and matches.
