Harford County Sheriff's Office Honored Fallen Deputies Patrick Dailey, Mark Logsdon With Blood Drive Monday
HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — The American Red Cross and the Harford County Sheriff's Office hosted a blood drive Monday in honor of two fallen officers.
Senior Deputy Patrick Dailey and Deputy First Class Mark Logsdon were killed in the line of duty in February 2016, when a man shot them both during an incident at a Panera Bread in Abingdon.

On Monday, four years after their deaths, the fallen officers' families and friends gave blood in their honor.
While grieving for her son, it took two years for Debbie Logsdon to organize the memorial blood drive, which brought in more than 130 people.
"On the day Mark and Pat were taken, I understand they used a lot of blood to keep them alive. They did everything they could to save Mark and Pat. It was just that I wanted to give back," Debbie said.
The deputies' families also gave donors a special coin to thank them for their selflessness.
Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler said his department will be there to support the families with whatever they need.
"It just makes my heart smile, Debbie said. "Mark was such an outgoing person and it's just unbelievable so many people still remember him and still care, and it just makes my heart smile to know that."
The blood drive was at the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department until 4 p.m.
