Person Of Interest In Custody After 'Non-Specified Threat' To Harford Community College Campus
BEL AIR, Md. (WJZ) --The Harford County Sheriff's Office is investigating a threat that closed down Harford Community College Friday.
Students and staff got an emergency alert just after 10 a.m. The school said it was a "non-specific" threat and classes and activities were canceled for the day.
Friday afternoon, the agency said nothing suspicious was found and no charges have been filed. Officials have since cleared the scene.

Several people came to the school unaware it had closed.
"No one was here. I was surprised," said former student Katelyn Bizzell, who wanted to pick up a transcript. "I definitely think it was a good thing to get everybody out of here just to be safe."
The school dealt with threats in January 2015 and June 2017 that were unfounded.
Harford Community College closed its campus for the remainder of Friday, January 3, due to the incident. Officials said normal business hours will resume on Saturday.
Police declined an interview and declined to release more details about Friday's threat. The county's school system said nearby campuses including Harford Technical High School were not affected by the incident.
